Thrive West Central is collaborating with the City of Terre Haute and Indiana State University on the Urban Homescape Initiative, part of the Homes for the Future program. This public-private partnership is designed to transform underutilized properties — recently transferred from Indiana State University to the city — into high-quality residences.

The Urban Homescape Initiative invites developers and homebuilders to propose innovative infill housing projects. Eligible sites may qualify for up to $6,500 per housing unit in infrastructure support through Thrive West Central’s funding resources. These homes are to be sold and are not eligible as rentals.

“By working alongside the City of Terre Haute and Indiana State University, we’re not just creating housing — we’re creating opportunity,” said Thrive CEO Ryan Keller. “These projects will help revitalize neighborhoods, expand homeownership, and strengthen the economic foundation of our region.”
